Personal Injury Protection ("PIP" or "No-Fault")
Personal Injury Insurance, or PIP- (auto accident insurance) Florida No Fault- Auto Insurance in Florida: There is a new law that went into effect Januray of 2013. If you do not seek treatment within 14 days of the date of your auto accident, you will not be eligable for personal injury benefits under your own policy at all. Our doctor's always recommend you come in and get checked out as soon as possible after an accident. Whiplash and other accident related injuries can be serious. How does this PIP work? You are eligible for up to 10,000.00 in personal injury insurance. According to Florida law, if you own a motor vehicle with four or more wheels you must carry $10,000 of personal injury protection insurance (PIP) and a minimum of $10,000 of property damage liability insurance.
